Thanks for reviewing this place. I found your hotel and resort reviews very helpful and I have added this one to my possibles for next year. One question. Is the hotel near a bus route for visiting places not well served by ferry?

Hi Peter

I was not aware of any local bus service but the hotel operated a shuttle to and from Salo at a small charge. I didn't use this service which, I think, was not particularly frequent. The road sign claimed that the distance by road from the entrance to the hotel to Salo was 2K. We found the ferry stop at Portese to be convenient and once you were across to Salo there were more frequent boats (both Regular and 'Rapido') with a greater choice of connections and destinations.

thanks for the reply - all useful information. Pity about the buses. I was hoping to visit Moniga, Manerba etc, which don't appear to have a frequent ferry service. But I guess we could go via Salo.
