hi
i am looking to stay in sorrento for a week in August, the first week.
i would like to stay in acheap enough place, for two people and it would need a pool.
i would rather not stay in a hotel, would prefer an apartment or villa. would also like a place within walking distance of the town centre, not too far away.
has anyone any ideas of places we could stay or websites i could use. all sites i have used only seem to have apartments with no pools, or villas which are up in the cliffs and well out of town.

also, is there a beach in sorrento town?
There is a small area of public baach near Marina Piccola. Its not very picturesque and It gets crowded ln summer. but I enjoyed a couple of hours there and the water was lovely (late June).here is another small beach at Marina Grande . There are larger beaches a bit further away at Meta (Alimuri) and Marina di Puolo. These can be reached using the local orange bus which runs about every 20 minutes.
