Hello from Benidorm

We are having a good time here staying at the Orange.
The weather is mixed mostly we have had lovely sunny mornings and a few heavy showers in afternoons.
We have been up to the village of Finestrat today.
We have just changed cash at the Euro Tabac and got 1.105
Lots of bars and Cabaret bars are closed and none are very full and
everywhere is quiet compared to last year as now.
According to the news from home we are missing lots of snow!!

Glad you're having a good time. YOu indeed are missing out on all the lovely white stuff

Seriously, we're having it bad here and as usual our little country can't cope. Helen and me were off work Monday - Wednesday as the school didn't bother opening and although we were open first thing this morning the Head decided to close at 10.30 and send everyone home. At the moment, it's freezing cold here and icy conditions are expected over the next few hours. Oh, to be in Benidorm.

Never mind Helen and I'll be there in a few weeks, roll on.

For once we have no snow here, if you listen to the news we are having the worst snow ever, don't think so, we're used to it here and thankful we aint got any, its funny watching the south struggle with a few bits of snow though, :rofl

We arrived home just after midnight. Had a lovely holiday and weather improved.
It was still fairly quiet except the two weekends when there were some Stag and Hen parties around.
As I said before the Cabarets were really quiet, but when we saw Neil St John and an Elvis impersonator in Sinatras.
and another time we saw one of my favourites-Asa Elliot and Levi at Sandras and it was very busy.
We did a lot of long walks and it was so good being back in Benidorm after being so ill and having to cancel a holiday last year.
On our last day we got 1.14euros to the £1
There had not been much snow in Lincoln while we were away but at least we had missed some really cold weather!!

Glad to hear you had a good holiday Sue you certainly deserved it after having to cancel your previous one. The weather's been okay the last few days there not like all the snow we've had here. We still have six inches of slush on our road.

Welcome home Sue. Glad you had a lovely time. That was a good Euro rate you had, considering how low its been. Hopefully it'll creep up a bit again before we go at Easter.

I have been here since the 4th and have not once seen any rain whatsoever, Where were you when it rained in Benidorm?

It has rained, I can't say for certain when it happened, but my partner lives in Benidorm and he reported rain on a couple of occasions recently. He was pissed off because the washing was out, that's why I remember.

Maybe you were having a siesta at the time.

I certainly didn't imagine the rain!
You say you went to Beni on Feb 4th, wheras we went on Jan 27th,
so the rain had been and gone prior to your arrival. On the wet afternoons
it had cleared up by the evening.Overall we had quite good weather over the
two weeks.

My SIl has just arrived back and said she had 1.11 Euros in the Old Market. Lets keep hoping it'll go up.
