Hi Janie, have been to Salou many times and never stayed 'in town'. We like to stay near to the theme park or Cap Salou. Was at the Punta Dorada hotel next to Playa Llarga last week, and I love the beach here. The Negresco is also here.

The bus route is at the top of the road and runs into Salou (you can walk it along the new beach road) and Cambrils. La Pineda and Tarragona the other way. We caught a bus into Cambrils, Port Avenutura and Tarragona while we were there and they were fine.

Hi Starry.We are staying at the negresco in July and have heard there is nowhere to park a car so will find another way there.We are looking at either the train but as we have early flights both there and back it might be a bit of hassle or plnan bus.Looked at their site do you know if they stop at the end of the road?
We don't want to be lugging luggage for miles:)

Hi Dalkirst, are you flying into Barcelona? I'm not sure if the bus stops at Cap Salou or if it would just go to Salou. If it stops at Cap Salou, the bus stop is just at the top of the road from the Negresco.

Yeah we are flying into Barca.Trying to narrow down the options now.Cars are coming up to expensive and as i said i've heard you can't park at the hotel but only at the one over the road at another 15 euros per day so we are looking at transfers.The cheapest so far seems to be a2b transfers at around £174 for 6 of us but i've looked at planabus,resort hoppa etc.
What i want really is somewhere that's going to actually stop near the hotel at least if not at the hotel instead of going all the way to Salou without stopping and then us having to get a taxi back again to the hotel.
