There is no 'promenade' at the old town beach. In the centre, you walk straight onto it off the streets at the western end is a 100 foot high cliff with a lift and steps for access. You can of course walk from one end to the other which is about 800 yards. The eastern end is also backed with cliffs, not so high but the only access from the hotels nearby is by steps and rough paths.
However are few apartments in the old town itself other than private rentals. An exception is Turial Park, which is less than 50 metres from the beach in the area. The majority of the apartment hotels are 10 - 15 minutes from the old town and beaches and uphill on the way back.
