Hi I will be spending New Year in Vegas this year (woo hoo!) have never been so have no idea what to expect. Firstly I expect it to be cold but looking at some pics of people in December they are wearing t-shirts... so I am a little confused. Also for the NYE celebrations is there a street party type atmosphere or is it generally centred around the hotels?

On New Year's Eve for the last few years it has reached a high of about 12C, with the temp at midnight being about 4C, so yes, it's a bit chilly!
Hmm yep that is fairly chilly.. we are in Cancun for 2 weeks before that so I should imagine it will be a contrast. Thankfully we will have the thermals packed as we are spending the 1st part of the trip in New York!
