I booked a package holiday today with LastMinute. After booking the hotel, I then went through the procedure of booking the available flights around our proposed stay. When I booked the flights, as part of the package, the website informed me that the airport was 56 miles from the hotel. I was satisfied that this was just within reasonable reach of the accommodation and proceeded to pay the deposit of over £400. Later on, I proceeded to find out how much a car would be to hire or how much a taxi would be from the airport. When I did a search, I discovered that the airport is nearly 120 miles from the hotel or a 3.5hr journey according to AA Route Planner. Had I known this when booking the flights, I would not have proceeded with booking the flights and sought a nearer option. I either want to change the flights to suit a nearer airport at no extra cost or cancel my holiday and get a full refund. Is this misrepresentation by the travel operator and what are my best options in dealing with this matter? I cannot contact the operator until tomorrow so my mind is racing about how I should handle this tomorrow. Given the appalling reputation many operators have when it comes to recovering money, any advice would be welcome. Thanks. Glyn
