Taxis in Rome

When in Rome watch out for bogus taxis without meters.They charge a fortune for the ride, and have been known to drop you miles away from your destination.
Same as here in london, never get into any car with out checking its run by a licenced company unless you are prepared to take the risk.
Never heard of it happening much in rome though unless its a new one?

we arrived in Rome at 1am after airport coach dropped us at Termni. We were charged 20 euro for a 5 minute ride. Most taxis during the day and evening were excellent often using sat nav to find the correct destination.
