hi,
has anyone stayed at this campsite? We're driving to the south of france in july and camping for around 5 nights, any recommendations? We would like somewhere that's not too holiday campy - maybe somewhere quite peaceful and picturesque!
Not been but just Googled and got plenty of response so found this

Hi you might want to try Prairies de la Mer in Port Grimaud (about 10km from Saint Tropez) It's Great you can just walk in and get a caravan by asking the individual reps, not the main desk as they'll rip you off.
We went last year and Duncan from BJ riviera is good, so is Suke Caravans. They also have freestanding pitches and it's right on beachside, with bars. restaurants etc all on site, but you have to rent them from the main reception.:gluck

Hi, just read your post about the SoF; would highly recommend a site called Douce Quietude by Nice. Really nice part of the world (obviously) and the site was excellent. Booked with Suncamp holidays - have used Keycamp/Eurocamp in the past but these guys seem cheaper and offer the same holidays/accommodation types. They basically guarantee to charge you the same price as the site itself so that has to be a saving. They had a few sites in that region, but check the site out http://www.suncampholidays.co.uk as it's a bit of a struggle to find!! Whatever you choose, enjoy yourself :-)
