Stayed in this complex in May 2003. Loved Cala d'Or especially the beaches.
The Puerto del Sol is situated above the marina in a quiet cul de sac, we had an apartment with one balcony overlooking the pool and another small one in the bedroom overlooking the marina.
It is around 15 minutes into Cala d'or centre, but very pleasant walk around the marina, with plenty of bars en route.We stayed 2 weeks half board and although the food was ok got bored with the same things after a week. There are also so many good restaurants in the marina and in Cala d'Or, I would not go half board again.
There is a bar /club downstairs in the complex, a bit tacky though, dark and full of smoke.usual entertainment- bingo, quiz, talent competitions, karaoke etc. They also have a bar overlooking the marina which is nice.

We stayed there last year but stayed in a privately owned apartment (DIY holiday). We found the pool to be very busy, noisy and bit worse for wear! Couldn't comment on the food or entertainment. Like the previous reply I wouldn't go half board or AI in Mallorca, Cala D'or is an excellent resort with an array of restaurants. To be honest there are much better places to stay than this complex!

The big plus to the puerto del sol was the bar overlooking the marina, really amazing view - though anyone can go into the bar you don't have to stay in the complex.

Don't know whether you're travelling as a large group, with kids etc. but I would recommend looking at a DIY holiday, car hire, transport etc is very easy in mallorca.
