Spent a few days in Bologna a couple of years ago & had a great time.

Unfortunately I'm in work so it's a bit sketchy. From the train station we stayed at the far end of the big main road facing you when you leave the station. This area was very lively & there were plenty of bars and restaurants, and shops. If anyone's ever told you that you never see Italians drunk, I recommend a trip to the Irish bar!

To see, there was the big main square and the two big towers, the larger of which you were able to climb, and get a great view of the city.

Main memories, great food & drink, good shops for the Mrs, very inexpensive. All in all a good time.
