Has anyone been here is it on island or mainland? and is it the same place as Stoupa?
Also if I did decide to go here eould I have to rent a car?
The Mani is on the mainland - one of the "fingers" of the Peloponnese. Stoupa is a resort on the west coast of the Mani. For more information on Stoupa, see this message board:

You won't need a car to visit somewhere like Stoupa but it would allow you to visit some interesting, quiet and unspoilt places round the rest of the peninsula. Don't go expecting lots of nightlife and lively resorts but if you like a traditional resort and some beautiful scenery, you'll enjoy the area.

Thank very much maria, I'm not really interested in the night life to be honest with you!!
Have you been to Mani before?

We visted Stoupa for a week in late September a couple of years back and loved the place. Stoupa is a lovely laid back resort with a couple of good beaches, some very good tavernas and quite a village feel. We hired a car and headed down the end of the penisula where the scenery is quite wild and rugged. It's within reach of quite a few interesting places if you hire a car, have a look at some of the pictures in the gallery on the zorbas site.
