We have only been back a few days and miss the place already! We will be returning again next year for the 4th time. We had a great chilled out holiday (except for some family health problems at home). We found that there is alot more building going on and if they aren't careful the place will be ruined. Also there are too many kids going out there now, I fail to see what parents are thinking.... to take young children on a long haul flight to that heat and what is there for them to do? It is not a place for young children. I just hope that the place does not turn into another Benidorm!

Apart from that the place is still great the people are great and didn't have a bad meal all the time we were there. We didn't go to the taste of china we went to the chinese at the end of the highland beach hotel road in fact we went there about 5 times! Try the satay is it delicious. Just down the lane from there is Foxys steak house again this place is good. In fact we were staying in an apartment right next door! The Sweet Chilli is good (when you eventually get served!) we went there twice, however, 6 of us went the second time and it took so long, some of the food was cold and we had to keep our taxi driver waiting for nearly an hour. Some other friends went and they got up and walked out. But still there are plenty of other places to go.

Kids should go everywhere. They learn much more travelling the World, seeing and experiencing different countries and cultures than they ever will going to package holidays to tourist traps in Spain for example.

Glad you had a good time Dawn and Graham,I must say though McGroogle has a point. If Children are at an age where they are willing to learn the culture of another country and not just moan ''i'm bored'' all the time then fair play to them - let them visit that country,surely the parents know there child and will know if they would 'get on' with the place (0/10 if they don't)
I do have friends who take a small child to Goa (will be 7 this year) and his 3rd trip and is no problem at all.
I have other friends there now who contacted me on Friday about an hotel reservation,and they have said there are a few new shops going up (some are still being built from last season) but other than that not much change. I will be out there in 3 weeks so will see for myself.
I just wish Benidorm would stop being mentioned - it upsets people who use the Costa forums who think Spain is being rubbished (have been to all the costas and enjoyed every one of them).
