The PESTANA GROUP are based in Madeira and I'd recommend all their hotels. But I would of course as my daughter works for them However it depends on what you want: seclusion: seaside: music: cost; close to Funchal center etc etc etc....

Friends of ours have booked for the third time the Cliff Bay Hotel in Funchal.

This is a beautiful hotel but and this is a big but it is very expensive. Gets great reviews though. It is a classy style of hotel with good spa facilities.
