What I find confusing is why Monarch allow agents to sell seats on their planes on a flight-only basis and then insist that customers provide proof of accommodation at check-in time...... 
Having got home and dug out the flight paperwork booked with Odyssey for flight only out of Manchester this Saturday, I do infact have a travel itinery and accommodation voucher although I have booked flight only!!! It says I'm staying at Park Avenue so this must be the loop hole the travel agent used to get around the new regulations I guess???

Thanks Polly, I don't need telling twice.......................or even once come to that. 
same system with monarch last year but no checks at all with first choice this year.
How confusing this all is, who is actually insisting on accomodation info, ailines or indian govt?
Not a problem for us as we always book a package but for those travelling flight only it must be a concern.
