Hi im off to Goa in 2 weeks but haven't been for 2 years. First time i took my son he was 6 months old so we just gave him water to drink, but he will be 3 this time and hes very fussy, will not drink water so i was wondering do they sell flavoured water in Goa? We bought a bottle of cordial in Goa last time but found it was too horrible and thick even after watering it down a lot. Would it be better to take a bottle with us from home eg Vimto? Because i dont want my son to have coke as it will rot his teeth.
Thanks
I dont know whether you are staying in north or south goa, but the Oxford Arcade in Anjuna sells Vimto and Ribena, alongside many other drinks.

How about some Orange squash ! Kinda like that myself.
I bought some rasberry cordial from a shop in Arpora. If any of you know where the renton mannor is and the abalone then you carry on to the first major road near it and its a shop on the left.
Ive never tried the orange sqaush. Is it available everywhere because the one i mentioned above was absolutley terrible.
Thanks

The orange squash we got seemed to be available everywhere, so I assume it was the one you didn't like. Can't remember the name but I think it began with a "K". You had to shake the bottle really well.
It was really good from the fridge with lots of ice in it, after a long , hard, tiring day on the beach
Probably too much sugar in it for a little one anyway.

Hmm, thanks for the replies. It has got me thinking. I dont want to have to force water down my son for the whole 2 weeks, that wont be enjoyable at all. I think ill take a bottle with me and then try and hunt down some 'drinkable' cordial over there!
You can buy Ribena and Vimto from Prime Shop in Calangute. It's next door to Chillys bar (in front of the Nizmar)
Also there's a brand out here called Queen. They do there own version of Vimto (not like real vimto at all), they also do Green Apple, Orange and Raspberry. They are a bit syrupy but if you only use a small amount with plenty of water it's very nice.

Hmm , dont encourage him!
Hi. I would bring cordial over with you as it is always something that we ask our parents to bring over when they come to visit. You can get some over here but it does not taste any where as nice and has got loads of sugar in it. Otherwise you can buy something called 'Tang' which is an orange powder drink that you add to water to flavor it. However this still has loads of sugar in it which might make your son hyper.
