I have just put my 1st DIY family holiday together. I have done DIY to NY before but this is the 1st one that I have done where we are bringing the kids.
I have booked Sanguili campsite outside Salou and I have booked flights to Barcelona with Expedia using Iberia airlines.
Our flight times are really good and I am hoping to use public transport to get to and from Salou.
I just hope it all comes together really well for us.
I am saving an absolute fortune. This year we went the last two weeks of July on a package holiday and next year we are going DIY last 2 weeks of june. I am saving about £1800.
You have made a great choice with Sanguli, i've stayed there twice and it is a fantastic site. It is great for kids.
As for the public transport bit, Salou train station is only a 10 minute walk from the site, though you will need a taxi with your lugguage. I think you can catch the train from Barcelona airport to Salou direct.
If you fancy a change from what Salou has to offer, then Cambrils is only a 10 minute bus ride in the other direction. It could not be more different to Salou.
