80 EURO per person with the cruse boat and in case u have no car they will charge a few more (depends on the area) for bus transfer. if nothing changes till oct it will be Mon-Wen-Fri from Heraklion.
Price include Breakfast and dinner. three possible excursions are available for extra cost and will be offered when on board.

If you walk around Heraklion town and look in the TA's windows, you will see some cracking apartments for $12 pp on Santorini. I believe from what a local told me, that it's 2 hours by Jetfoil or 4 hrs by ferry, so an overnighter would be best.

It would be more worthwhile to stay for a few nights, check on ferries though as they are not daily. Accomodation is easy in October, 20€ a night for a room on the east side of Fira town.

i will agree on the low prices of santorini in Oct. i would not rec though the spead ones. basically according to the Greek shipping law no boat/shit can get out of a port when the winds are 8 or more in the scale of Bofor (not sure of spelling). for examble for friday 22/09 is expected to be 7. that means if by any chance in Oct wind is strong no boat will travel.
On the other hand the spead ones are more vanurable to the wind and their limit is lower. I dont know up to what bofor they have the ok to travel but i believe 6-7 is their limit.
also the spead ones are expected to stop at some point in oct.
