Heck, we just like food, no wonder we have to keep on going to the gym!
Hi, will you have a car during your stay?
I can recommend lots of places but you will need a car to get to them.
If not, whereabouts in Paphos will you be staying? There are many good restaurants in Paphos itself.

(There's a nice Greek restaurant in Derby... lol :D)
Hi, we will be hiring a car yes but we would like to be relatively close to where we are staying which is the Pioneer Beach Hotel which I know is a little way from the harbour area.
HA HA u2fan!
we'll be seeing you there next week since we're both going there to discuss our seemingly endless trips around the globe and of course eat some gorgeous Greek food!

Hi, we've stayed at the Paphian Bay a number of times - its next door to the Pioneer. For something more traditional we go to the Plaka Restaurant - I don't think it is the very very best re Greek food in Pafos but we love the atmosphere, the choice, the friendly staff and the value for money --- and its only a 5 - 10 min walk (stagger) from your hotel and near a super cocktail (cheap) bar. Any questions just ask. If you come out of the hotel and turn left and walk for about 5 minutes you come to a string of restauarants - I think there was a Chinese one AND an Italian one there as well when we last went - 2004. (Have we been away that long!?)
Also - as someone above has mentioned - try the Paphos Post as I am sure you will have many folk on there who are locals and can give you some super ideas.
Have a great time - we are going for 17 days in August 2007 and after a hell of a stressful year can't imagine anywhere more perfect to chill. The Pioneer is the sister hotel next door and shares the beach area - its a great hotel too, in a super location ---- enjoy

Your right Prestos. There is also a French restaurant (Gabor), Indian, and a Rib Shack on that strip now.
The Italian the Cavallini is lovely. Service excellent. Oh its making me want to go back right now!
A bit further on from here you will find an area nicknamed the "Triangle" with some good restaurants too. There is plenty of choice here.
Also dont quote me but I am sure you can dine around the hotels in the group, the Paphian, Pioneer, Athena Beach and Athena Royal. However, I think you have to pre book with reception.
Kath x
Looks like we'll have more than enough choice for weeks never mind 1 week!
Kath.... I have also heard that you can dine around the sister hotels to the Pioneer Beach but we are on a B&B basis which we prefer as we like to try different places to eat out in. I've heard Constantine's bakery opposite Alexander the Great hotel is great for pastries etc from several people and general Greek goodies so I've just got to lose another half a stone now to compensate!

Hi there - have just read about being on B&B at your hotel. We always go B&B but they do great offers where you can dine in for 3 nights together for about 16 Cypriot pounds per person. We do that - especially when they have their barbeque nights around the pool area - they are really good and great value for money. You can book those when you get there -

Hi Presto2!
Yes I am going for a double Greek dose this year as I missed out in 2006, not holiday wise but Greek wise and I need that fix that only a Greek island can provide..when we went to Kos, we made a silly pact to eat a Greek salad every day we were there!
and yep, we did did eat a Greek salad everyday (sometimes twice a day!)
I just happen to like feta cheese a lot!

Hi tinka14, Amber and Karl here again,
We go to a great Greek restaurant called the Mandra, it's on Dionysou St. just up from the front near the aquarium, which is worth a visit to get out of the sun for a little while! next to the Mandra is a great cocktail bar called the Flintstones, many is the night we have staggered between the two.
Have seen the bakers you have mentioned but not been there, most of them are great, the 'Lebanese' desserts are wonderful.

Hi,
We also recommend the Mandra, also an Italian called Capriciosa (I think).
I can't think how to explain where the Italian is.Its on a corner with big modern cane chairs.Maybe someone esle can help.
Am I the only one who gets totally disorientated in Paphos???
Walking towards the seafront from the Universal area I never come out where I expect to
Enjoy your holidays,we love Paphos
