Providing you cancel at least 57 days prior then all you should lose is your deposit.
Look at your documentation that will give you the exact details. If you have no choice but to cancel then you need to do it ASAP
You do have plenty of time at present so you might like to spend a few days examining your financial commitments before doing so.
Did you book on the internet or with a travel agent? If the latter then go talk to them about your problem.
Ensure that if you do cancel it should be in writing and sent recorded delivery not email or by telephone.

Are your curcumstances likely to be better next year?? if so why not consider changing the holiday to next summer, the holidays are now on sale and with first choice it costs £20 per person to do this and it can be added to the invoice so you will not have to pay that now.
I have just done this so I have the up to date info on this.
Our change was for different reasons but it will save you losing all your deposit which is quite alot of money if you intend to holiday next year.
It may just ease the disapointment you must feel knowing you can salvage some of your money!
Hope things work out
