Never Again!

I am trying to be positive!

Plus points

Never had problem getting a sun bed as Asians don't like to sunbathe! Drinks all inclusive package worth paying, even for a coffee, coke's, wine with meal and a cocktail after.

Atrium is lovely spanning many decks and topped with glass roof, just a bit on the small side, seating/space wise. Dining room also elegant. Destination itinerary fabulous and that's what made it for us! Service charge was deducted after meeting with Hotel Director.

Negatives

Embarkation fiasco!,The ship is dated and in need of a refit. Stained carpets and seating. Drab walls in deck corridors. Cabins tired, dirty bed linen.
Smoking allowed throughout ship! Lounges, where every other table has no smoking sign on! Some grouped in a corner in a couple of lounges. Could still smell it though throughout and I don't want to smell like a smoker if I'm not one! Will appeal to some, but when a lounge is right next to dining room!! Even smokers weren't happy.

Food - again fiasco! Buffet depleted of food, by too many greedy people, piling table with everything. Not enough choice for Europeans/American tastes. Spent too much time in long queues at different stations trying to make a meal. Little choice for vegetarians, often none in a particular course. Main restaurant wouldn't make a Caesar salad! No lavish food displays of fruit or chocolate.
Entertainment in evening only used on a couple of occasions as singers so out of tune.

Difficulty with staff being understood in English. Costa has brought on new Asian staff to cater for this new area they are targeting, but English is so poor.

The Costa Atlantica is breath taking!!
Spotless from bow to stern. The crew are constantly cleaning every area of the ship from morning to night.

The food is outstanding with excellent menus in the formal dining room and superb choices in the numerous self service areas where you can eat 24 hours a day if you wish.

The staff are extremely helpfull at all times with Dennis our cabin attendant cleaning our room twice a day every day. The cabin was spacious with a comfortable size balcony which was a fantastic chill out spot!

If you want to spoil yourself don't hesitate to use Costa for your cruise. We enjoyed evry minuite of ours and would definately use them again.

Wow...what a beautiful ship this is. The atrium, bars and restaurants are fantastic.

The ship is absolutely spotless. We watched every morning while a crew member washed, scrubbed and polished ...the bins!!! This is the cleanest ship we have ever been on. We had a balcony cabin which was spacious and again immaculately clean.

The food was fantastic. Seven course evening meals led to a few additional pounds. The midnight buffets were spectacular.

The staff were brilliant. Very friendly and helpful.
The entertainment was geared towards the Americans so we did not go to many shows.

Out of the seven ships we have been on this is by far the best.
