IMO, October is a good time to visit the Canary Islands. The weather is still good and late October temperatures are similar to those in late May, which is my other favourite month of the year to visit. I assume you meant you stayed in the Parque Santiago 3 apartments in PDLA last time. Weather-wise, any resort in the south-west of the island will normally have temperatures up to 5°C higher than in the north and are more often than not, sunnier too.

Never been in August as it tends to be too hot. However, I have been in October before and it has always been lovely! We usually go in May and September now, both lovely months. If you have air conditioning in the apartment, then either would be bearable, but I think if there isn't, then go for october........
