Got back on Tuesday after an excellent week in the Bali. We had excellent weather around 20 everyday, one day was cloudy and it rained early evening for around 4 hours.A bit windy in places but overall we couldn`t fault the weather.
We walked miles and felt like we saw as much as we possible could do. We had a late lunch of tapas and wine each day in the various tapas bars around. We spent a day in Fuengirola with a visit to the lovely zoo. We caught the train to Torremolinos 3 times and walked back. Spent quite a bit of time in Arroya, loved the market and the various bars. Went to the sea world in the marina. We also went to the Selwo marina, loved the shows. The only place we didn`t manage was the Pueblo and Mijas, this was because of the bus journey, we were put off by the fact the driver crams as many people on as possible. We witnessed this on our one and only bus journey, it was market day and we scrambled on the bus only to be told to move back, this would have resulted in us pushing elerderly passengers to the raised part of the bus at the rear and they would have had no rails to hold onto, so we stayed where we were, so the driver opened the middle doors and crammed more in there. He stopped at every stop and crammed more and more on. I doubt if I will ever get a bus again around Benalmadena, I would rather walk or catch the train. But apart from this one minor annoyance we had a fantastic holiday. We thought the prices were very good everywhere for food and drink. We did find that on an evening bars were fairly quiet but that could have been because it was early season, although we have been at this time of year on previous visits. I hope this was just our opinion and that its not a future trend as I think everyone will have suffered enough with the euro and hotels going all inclusive.Loved Benalmadena and Toremolinos and can`t wait to go back.
