hi there

Almost all campsites with a 4 or 5 star rating will give you what you want in reguards to facilities especially kids areas

As an annual vistor to that part of France and to Northern Mediteranean Spain you can find what you want from lots of providers

Would you be using your own equipment or hiring Static caravan or tents so I know where to point you in the right direction

Hi thanks for your reply to my post.

I will be hiring a static caravan and travelling by car. We have taken holidays in France the last few years and enjoyed them greatly.
We will be travelling with another family who are wanting the sun and beach. Between us we have 5 kids ages 3,5,6,8 and 10.
Any info would be a great help.
Thanks.

Right now I know you can book online with firms like Eurocamp and Keycamp

or try you loal travel agents sounds daft but they are getting into "independant " style holidays

firms like Camping cheques and Saga aren't really what you need also
there are some sites that you could try direct

these are some useful sites to check out

We have just returned from a great site which ticks all your boxes. Serignan Plage Camping (nr Beziers), it is a 4/5 star site with great facilities. This is the first time we have tried a campsite and 3 of us stayed in the 4-6 person Cottage. The accommodation was very new looking and had all the mod cons, it was also very spacious. We booked through Yelloh Village and found booking direct with them saved us loads of money compared to Eurocamp. I think we will book again next year and go with some friends next time.

Here is a quick review.

The campsite is right on a lovely long sandy beach with some great sand dunes to explore. There is a big heated swimming pool/lagoon with 4 water slides and surrounded by a grass area with loads of sun loungers for everyone. The kids club cater for 4-7 and 7-11 year olds twice a day and the teenagers have loads of organised stuff as well. There are some trampolines/Tennis courts and various small playgrounds as well.

The static Cottage was excellent and better than some apartments I have stayed in, very spacious and clean. It is a wonderful way of relaxing and we had some great BBQ's and lunchtimes sitting on the veranda.

Facilities are very good with a Bakers/Butchers/Fishmongers/Newsagents and well stocked Supermarket. The prices were reasonable and once you arrive there is little need to leave the site. There are 3 Restaurants a Pizzeria and Pub and the quality of food was again very good, the 19 Euro menu of the day were amazing value and choice. They have just opened a Roman Spa which is 5 star all the way, pack the kids off to the kids club and catch 2 hours of total relaxation. This turns into a pretty fancy Restaurant at night.

There is entertainment laid on most evenings with the usual disco's for the kids. We caught a couple of shows which involved many of the kids and there parents. For me the best part was the stress free life and the freedom my daughter enjoyed. We drove down in a couple of stages but you could do it in one go if it suits.

Nearby there are some places of interest such as Carcassonne, Cap D'Agde and Beziers and also some great restaurants and Wine Houses. :D :D
