Has anybody used Castello Zamittello in malta as a wedding venue or even just visited it? Would really appreciate any comments on food decor, how clean the rooms were etc. All the ususal things you would need to know about a wedding venue?
Thinking of booking it in June 2009 for a Aug / Sept Wedding.
Also never been in malta in August / Sept , anybody give me a comment on the weather in these months, average mean temps only tell you so much.

hi not been inside but i've looked through the windows, looks a classy venue. i think i have some photos somewhere, pm me if you would like too see.
as for booking, i would try and book as soon as possible as many venues are booked up years in advance.
weather in august/september will be very hot and uncomfortable.

Hi Alan, wasn't some Maltese Count or nobleman type chappie gunned down in there a few years ago, and it has remained an unsolved murder ever since, I'm sure I read it somewhere
hi sliema2, yes it was count sant cassia shot in 1988, a man from mosta was arrested in 2006, he originally confessed to the shooting but pled not guilty at court and i think he was aquitted. but i hope it doesn't put anyone off using the castello as it is a lovely venue, run by the corinthia group.

, but really looking for somebody who used it as a wedding venue, as thats the real asset test.
Not really put off by murder story...every castle has a history like that if you look far back enough.
