Would say that nearly everyone wears a full length dress on formal nights, knee length for semi-formal.

I think the ones invited to dine with the Captain are probably frequent cruisers. Our table was next to the Captains and they sounded a bit dreary, they do get free wine though :)

Thanks for your response, don't think I can afford three full length dresses! I have one calf length dress, which will have to do! Didn't realise, it was going to be so difficult! :duh

Have a trawl of the charity shops thats where the OH gets her posh frocks.

Usually <£40.

not worth spending much more if you are not be going to use them on land.

My mum has suggested wearing the same dress twice, but when your sitting with the same group of people for dinner every night, I don't think I could do that! :)

I'll have to find some good charity shops, any recommendations for Eltham/Blackheath or surrounding areas??
