Myself, my daughter & partner plan to have a week in Tenerife or Lanzarote in the February half term. We would probably choose AI but if not it would be self catering. Either way we would need a 1 bed apartment rather than hotel room. If we went self catering it would need to be in a resort which has plenty of reasonably priced places to eat. We like to swim so a heated pool would also be preferable. Has anyone a personal recommendation they can give please?

Can only speak for Lanzarote, we like Costa Teguise and IMO prices are very reasonable to eat and drink, some expensive restaurants and some cheap so spoilt for choice really, there are AI apartments but be aware they are basic so don't expect 5*.
Re: heated pools, never found a heated one, the description may say acclimatised but they are still freezing!!
I have to say if the weather is an important factor Tenerife may be a better option in February.
