Looking at booking our own flights at £350 for both of us and our own accommodation, read lots about different resorts but where would you choose to stay and why?

I would choose the Socrates apartments between Stalis and Malia simply because we had a fantastic holiday there last year.
Everything about them was excellent - location, friendliness, pool, food, bar, rooms, price. Say no more!

we stayed in Myrtos. what a lovely place and lovely people.
we also liked the look of Sitia but we had booked Bali before Kosmar went to the wall. Also read good things about Agia Pelagia.

Thanks for the replies. Have narrowed it down to Elounda now. a week today we will be on the flight!
