We (the wife, myself & 2 kids aged 8 & 4) are looking at Crete for May 2010. After researching various resorts on the internet for the last few months we seem to have decided on koutouloufari & the Silvia apartments.
We have been to Greece before (Kos 3 times & Zante once) & absolutely love it there, we stayed in Psalidi in Kos & Kalamaki in Zante & while we enjoyed Psalidi as it was a quiet resort to be based in & was just a short walk into Kos town we were not that keen on Kalamaki as we found it a bit too quiet.
Neither myself or my wife drive & we will be on a fairly tight budget so we need to be somewhere that we are within walking distance of nearby resorts/beaches etc.
Do you think Koutouloufari would be a good choice of resort as we have been looking at loads of different websites & this village & the surrounding ones of Piskopiano & Old Herssonissos look absolutely amazing. We are aware of the "lively" nature of Hersonissos but as we would possibly only be going there in the daytime we are not too worried about it.
All comments/suggestions would be appreciated!
