There are several nice bars in Ixia but most are of the more chilled out variety - i wouldn't say it's a lively resort.

If you want nightlife then Rhodes Town is only a short bus or taxi ride away. The main strip there is called Orfandinou Street - plenty of great bars and Colrado is good for live music.

Also a bit more chilled out but nice for a drink at the start of the night is Blue Lagoon in Rhodes Town (nearer the harbour). It's a caribbean/pirate themed bar with pool, pirate ship and excellent cocktails.

The only places you pay over the odds for a drink are the old town and the cafes overlooking Mandraki Harbour.

It's not as cheap as it used to (thanks to the euro!) be but i'd say on average a bit cheaper than uk cities.
