Hi, my hubby and I are just back from Santa Ponsa and loved it!!!! This has to be one of the best holidays we have had. Perfect. The resort was great: The beach is lovely white sand, and the sea turquoise; it was like getting in a clear warm bath. My hubby likes to snorkel so it was ideal. The little beach up near the Marina is worth a look too, no sun beds but less busy than the main beach. Avoid Sundays though as the Spanish tend to use it then.We stayed at Hotel Golf Beach which is only 2 star but very clean and friendly. Peter is really funny and makes great cocktails at the bar. The hotel is small with only 3 floors and 24 sun beds by the pool but suited us fine as we prefer that sort of thing to a big complex. The pool was lovely too. We found plenty of great places to eat: the best meals at 'Kellys on the Corner',although Crocodillos, the Watering Hole, and Chimes were nice too.
We tried the Irish Bars on a couple of nights, which had good entertainment. We also liked going up the square and saw the Westlife tribute and Rod Stewart. Really good. Also the Rovers Return has an Elvis tribute on Saturdays and Wednesday and he was great. Really good crack too! We did the Pirates which I booked on line before we went and I would highly recommend it (our best night). We also did the vintage train from Palma to Soller, we just got a bus from Santa Ponsa, then the train which is in the same street as the bus station, then we got the tram from Soller to the Port of Soller. A lovely day out and worth doing. We also did the Caves of Drach which was breath taking. We loved it that much we are going back in May with my Mum, and all the grandchildren and we can't wait !!!!
