Good to hear that there's another La Gomera fan out there but once the word gets around it might become too popular :-)

We usually stay in the Valle Gran Rey area but love to get the ferry round to Playa Santiago and have a leisurely lunch at one of the small cafes right on the front.

Also returned from La Gomera recently - fabulous place. We stayed at Hotel Jardin Tecina, which was beautifully situated on a clifftop near Playa Santiago. As a holiday destination, it would appeal to those in search of a wind-down, relaxing stay, or, alternatively, to anyone who wants to explore the many walking routes on this exotic island. It probably wouldn't appeal to seekers after beach fun or exciting nightlife.
