Haven't been to either of the resorts you mention but did go to one of the Turkish ones (just before it closed!).
They are very much family orientated resorts with lots of childcare facilities - if you don't have any kids you may feel a bit overwhelmed.
The resort we went to was very much isolated and it wasn't that easy to get into Bodrum (the nearest town). There were no local bars/restaurants to speak of so we very much ended up relying on the hotel meals. The bars were also quite expensive compared to local ones.
We actually met someone on holiday this year who had worked in one of the MW resorts and who confirmed our thoughts - that it was a very expensive holiday and you aren't able to easily get out and about and experience local culture.
On the other hand - if you have kids and don't want to stray far it will be ideal for you.
