The problem in Ibensa Sq is that the walkways are crumbling and in danger of collapsing, that's why the work on them is being done now. In Arroyo the work started with laying of new storm pipes - anyone who has been here during any rain knows that these are well overdue, the 'Manferga' roundabout resembling a swimming pool on many occasions. Then work was started on re-modelling the main street, which has led to the whole place looking like a building site and even less places to park, not good for businesses.

Liz are they still doing work on Manferga roundabout, that was going on in April when we were there. and still going on end June when we left!! agree though re storm pipes, in heavy rain the streets are like waterfalls..lol

Work is finished on Manferga roundabout, the road is now open in both directions, but driving down it is like being on an obstacle course as the surface is uneven and all the manhole covers are higher than the main road surface. They'll probably decide to re-tarmac it one Friday lunchtime, when the roads are at their busiest for market day
