Hi everyone. We will be visiting Singapore at New year for 2 nights. Someone told us to look out for a very large eating venue that looks like an Armadillo from the outside. It's located near to the New Theatre. Would anyone have any idea where this is? We will be staying in the Holiday Inn Atrium.
Has anyone been in Singapore on New Years Eve before? Whats it like?
I thought the Armadillo was the theatre. 
It is said to look like a giant durian. Its close to Marina Square but I don't know that area for eating places. Its also a short walk from Boat Quay which has loads of good eating places.

Thanks. I think it may be near to the Quay and I was told that you could sit outside by the river??
Is it worth going to China Town to eat? We arrive early early evening so want to be able to find somewhere suitable to eat relatively quickly.

yes- its close to Boat Quay which has many good places to eat. I haven't gone into China Town at night I'm afraid.
