Easyjet. I've booked numerous flights using their app, it's very user-friendly.

Booking.com (fantastic company). Use it often for booking rooms in the UK and Europe.

I've just got a new phone for Xmas Galaxy G3 which I'm just learning :yikes However on my old phone when we were down south and unexpectedly needed a B&B I used my GPS search which was really handy :tup I haven't used it abroad yet but would assume it'd come in useful for restaurant reviews etc (not that this counts as Desert Island stuff though :rofl )

Just found a great app, its called TripIt

I now have it on my iPhone / iPad so I presume it will also be available for Android devices.

Basically it brings all the details of a holiday or other booking such as car hire, restaurant, concerts etc all together.

For example I forwarded (it can be done automatically) all the relevant booking emails for my flights to Venice and Amsterdam along with the hotel confirmation emails and it has brought them all together and shows flight departure times, arrival times, layover times in Schiphol, will show flight status and check in numbers on the day, hotel location maps, transfer options to get to the hotels with maps for bus stops etc and also updates my calendar with all the times and dates along with so much more, I was well impressed.

I just downloaded the FREE version although there is a paid appTripIt Pro version.

Ji wire Wi-fi finder . Finds public wifi world wide. You can download a database of all known wifi hotspots whilst in the UK, which you can then use off line abroad without using data to find hot spots near you. Or you can use it live wherever you are in the world ( uses data downloads).
