I am trying to establish what a/c type will operate the UL504 on 02MAR? The Srilankan booking process suggests that it'll be an A330-243, but historicaly over the past 2 months, they have used an A340-300.
Can anyone also suggest which seats are best on both types?

LHR-CMB (UL504) is operated by an Airbus A330-200. Seating is personal preference. There are no 'best' seats. Do you prefer a window seat, an isle or centre towards the front or rear? The only ones I'd suggest you avoid are ones near to toilets and the galley due to possible noise and disturbance. Other than that, all seats offer the same facilities and seat pitch in their respective cabins other than extra legroom seating. You'll find a seat plan here.
