Hi everyone!
Just trying to work out what to do. People have said to take a taxi to marigot but we are not really sure.
we want to look around and learn a little about st martin/saint maarten and go to the beach (not a nudist one preferably).
Beaches recommended are..
Orient Bay, Dawn Beach, Great/Little bay for closesness to the port, and simpson bay, although this is close to the airport.
Any ideas or recommendations?

We have docked twice in St Maarten, and have always got the ferry from the docks, across the bay to the beach and town. The ferry has two stops, the first is somwhat better for shops and the second for the beach. Although they are not that far apart.
We love the beach and beach bars on St Maarten. An ideal way to spend an afternoon. The shops are on the road behind the beach, very easy to get to.
There is a duty free shopping complex by the docks which is quite good.
