Disabled Person Holiday Discussions

Are you disabled or know someone who is? What are your experiences of hotels and resorts as a disabled person?

Some good tips there. It's also worth leaving as much info as possible with someone at home e.g. who you're flying with/where you're staying/flight numbers, etc., also your insurer's details and passport details. Just in case any of what you have goes missing, or in the event of an emergency and needing back-up to deal with any overwhelming events.

i always take a doctor's note that explains my disabilities, and the medications that i am taking (also a new prescription, just in case). i also try to make sure i have the best medical insurance i can buy when i travel - our regular policy won't cover much (sigh!)...

great list!
