Can anybody tell me why it is cheaper to book these apartments through a middle man than booking directly with hotel?

Im a bit miffed as Ive found out I can book it is more than 200 euros cheaper etc but ive already paid a 510 euro deposit to hotel

anyway here some prices if anybody else needs to book

I have booked 14 nights at the Vila Petra for 170 euros a night x 14 nights equals 2380 euros


I have just tried to book exactly the same room/dates etc on alpharooms and it works out at 2238 euros

I am mystified how it can be cheaper going through a third party than booking directly with the hotel????


The same room gets even cheaper if you book with http://www.oceanvillas.co.uk/aprices.htm

This works out at 2156 euros ( this is 224 euros cheaper than booking directly with the hotel)
