I love them! My daughter & I were fortunate enough to be at one of the recordings for this series, as well as the run throughs at RADA. Like you, we thought the Angela Merkel sketch was superb. Lorna & Ingrid are a breath of fresh air in the realm of TV comedy, long may they continue.
They have done the Edinburgh Festival a few times and Lorna has been in a few things on digital TV, as well as a few adverts, including for Direct Line, but BBC has enough faith in them to have given them this second series so they are keeping their fingers crossed.
They obviously enjoy what they do, you can see that, and they clearly have a strong friendship, that comes through in their interplay. From what I've seen so far, i think this series is better than their first.
