The resort itself consists of 3 hotels from the same group, 2 supermarkets, small shops, stalls selling paintings, gifts, tacky souvenirs, and stuff for the kids.

It was miles away from anything, along an extremely bumpy and pot-holed 'road'....needed a hire car to get around, or a fairly expensive taxi into Sunny Beach.

We hired a car for 9 days and covered 2000km, so had a very good insight into the 'real' Bulgaria, but many people spent all day, everyday on the beach, and went home with no idea what Bulgaria is actually like !

The resort was kept very clean at all times.

Ideal resort for anyone wanting a purely beach-based holiday, but if you want entertainment, bars, culture...don't bother.

Loved Bulgaria, but disappointed with the resort of Elenite....too quiet for us !

Elenite holiday village is lovely. There are some lovely little shops and some loevely restaurants to choose from. Also an a la carte restaurant - but oyou have to book by 10am.

The resort was spotless, there was entertainment at the Royal Park for children and adults if that's what you want. Lovely pools and bars.

The beach was gorgeous - plenty of sunbeds and brollies to get some shade under. Can't wait to get there in July 2006 - it's fab

Royal Park hotel , Elenite ,Bulgaria
Absolutely wonderful holiday resort , You must see it for yourself. The management work really hard to make for a positive holiday experience with excellent facilities and a full and varied entertainment/activity programme
The resort has its own private beach in a sheltered bay where you can regularly spot dolphins playing
I would definitely recommend this resort

The resort was dirty with broken light bulbs in the sand on the beach. During our 7 day stay we saw almost daily broken glass and rubbish on the beach, the sea is full of Jelly Fish and therefore we never used the beach.

It is set in the hills on its own, nothing else there, this limits you to eat out or choose an alternative beach.
Taxis are plentiful and always at the front gate of the resort or there is a limited bus service.
There is a warning in the guide book which you are given upon arrival, "Beware of pick pockets when travelling as they have a problem with these" and "Dont change any money outside resort as they cant be trusted"

They do not take Credit Cards!!!!!!! They do not sell English Cigarettes!!!!!

We would never visit Bulgaria again we neither felt safe or welcome. This resort needs a lot more time and work before it is ready for holidaymakers.

The resort itself is a small cove away from all the hussle and bussle of sunny beach but still close enough to go out and enjoy yourself. A very good taxi and bus service and very reasonable prices. The resort was extremely clean and well looked after. Plenty of bars and food outlets between the two hotels that you can use. The animation hall is the main place for the evening entertainment with kids disco from 8 after that cash and prize bingo then the main evening show. Walking along the beach in the daytime or evening was a nice clean safe place to be with the kids and lots of fun to be had with the water sports.

The hotel maybe situated in the middle of nowhere but you shouldnt need to leave the complex.

You have swimming pools everywhere, you have the sea with various watersports and also the local aniamtion team and the First Choice team doing activites all through the day, and then night time you have various entertainment.

There arent any shops but you can get a taxi for 20 lev (8/10ish pounds) if you feel you need to get out for the day.
