This was our first visit to Barbados and arriving at the hotel we found it looked very pleasant.
The hotel itself was clean, the accomodation although dated was clean and we were pleased with the balcony views.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
But the food was awful. Having eaten all inclusive before we had high hopes. The A La Carte was right next to the buffet, A La Carte food was fine, but we were only allowed to eat there 3 days in a week which left us with the buffet. The food was all uncovered and we were continually plagued with birds, we came down in the morning for breakfast to find the birds pecking at the scramble egg, lovely!! Of an evening there were the birds again, tucking into the rice and the staff seemed to be oblivious to this!!
The food was practically the same every night, no variety and there was an awful lot of disappointed guests there!! The snack bar was basic but at least it was inside so we knew the birds hadn't had a feast!! We had two days of thunderstorms, which meant that when we came down for dinner, we found all of the thunder flys dropping into the food, needless to say, we decided to pay extra and eat out of the complex.
The hotel was in a great area, right on the beach and within walking distance of the pubs and restaurants.
I would definitely go back to Barbados but there is no way I would go back to that hotel!!!
