Was going to Southampton on a cruise, needed a cheap place to stay night before our cruise.
The Etap seemed pretty close to the docks, so we thought we would give it a go.
Was not too sure what to expect on arrival, mainly down to the low cost of the room. Was pleasently surprised.
Location is amazing for the docks and city centre. The rooms are very basic, but we got what we paid for. Shame there is no tea and coffee in the rooms, we had to go down to reception to buy.
Staff were all very friendly and the place was clean.
Only downside was that we could not get a cooked breakfast. Only serve continental style breakfast.

the hotel was ok for a budget hotel, the room was relatively clean, apart from the dust in the corners!
