Well for a 4 star property I was pretty well unimpressed. Very Grand looking from the outside and very oldy worldy inside.

This is the place where Prime Ministers, opposition leaders and MP's stop when the party conferences came to Blackpool. We had paid

We have stayed at the Imperial 4 times - 3 times during the Illuminations in October - and once at Easter '05. We are disappointed to read previous reports as we have always enjoyed our visits to the Imperial. We find that the location is excellent - right on the sea front, a short walk from town (but far enough out to be quiet!) and with excellent facilities.

I suppose we love old hotels - my wife inparticular loves the atmosphere of this old, historic hotel - and its associated history re the No 10 Bar. The hotel wont be up to everyone's taste - it is an old Victorian Hotel - we do feel that Paramount are doing their best to upgrade and improve, but at the end of the day you can't make a C19th hotel into a C21st one! I think it's either a hotel you love or hate.

We have always found the hotel staff to be excellent -they really are a friendly bunch - and if treated with respect seem to 'chill' and 'respond'!
We have had excellent service in the past and have always written 'thank you' letters.

I suppose we love the atmosphere, the heritage and the general feel of the place (its like taking a trip back in time). No, there is not any entertainment, but none is advertised - and that is one of the reasons we chose the hotel in the first place!

The hotel is spotless (a recent undercover review on Holday Watchdog via the BBC back this up - I think) and all rooms at the front have been renovated.

'Suppose there is always room for improvement in any hotel, but we wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

PS: Did write to Paramount to complain re the parking charge and got numerous replies - still haven't had a good one, but we'll watch and wait to see what happens!

The Imperial is a member of the Paramount group who I have stayed with on many times and I am a leisure club member. I was bitterly disappointed with this hotel which belongs to the group.

The rooms we stayed in were newly decorated and very clean but the restaurant left a lot to be desired. The food and service were not at all up to 4 star standards. Staff uniforms were dirty looking and needed to be ironed! The breakfast was badly presented. Tatty looking dishes. Overall very poor.

My son and his girlfriend requested cocktails in the number 10 bar only to be told that they did not do them but staff said they would look in the book how to make them. Great except we were charged around
