Hotel is in a great position and is in lovely surroundings but is a long way from Mombasa Airport.
Inside the rooms are a little worn on first impressions, but the rest of the hotel and the service more than makes up for this.
Staff are great, food is wonderful, pancakes are the best ever and the pools and grounds are just the best. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and all seem to be enjoying their job which is to look after your every need. The Manager is always around and willing to chat to everybody.
Can't sing it's praises enough much, it was a great holiday.

Hotel was fantastic, so clean and tidy. Really good choice of food, something for everyone. Located right next to the beach with a small private beach for hotel guests. There are a few beach traders, but be polite and friendly if you dont want their services and they leave you in peace. Staff were so helpful and welcoming and lots of different entertainment at night. We plan to return very soon

Met at Mombasa airport by hotel bus and friendly driver.
Arrived to terrific welcome. A dream location next to beach. Very good food, nearly 06.00 to 00.00. I think there were a few times when food was not available but couldnt say when. All inclusive drinks brought by waiter service.
I could go on but would only be a list of superlatives, I have stayed in many hotels in many countries but never one like Turtle Bay.
Two examples - the gents lavatories you could eat off the floor, and one time I wondered what this chap was doing, it turned out that he was trimming the towels in the lavatory where loops had been caught so that they looked tidier.
When we first arrived we had only one pillow each, so we folded up towels to use as it was very late. The next day after being on the beach we saw some bedroom staff and called them to get more. Sir, I was doing your room this morning and saw the towels so thought you required pillows and put them out for you. They try to do things for you just a little before you know you want them.
Management was always in evidence and were not above helping out.
I believe that this hotel should be awarded more stars but is prevented by no TV or Telephones, a great injustice. Anyway who needs 'em!!!
Finally this hotel manages to be so much more than the sum of its parts.
Finally thank you to all the staff at Turtle Bay for making us so welcome and making our stays there (7 visits in all) our little bit of paradise. Truly they say when you arrive "welcome home"
