In the centre of Magaluf, with plenty of shops, bars and cafes around and with the beach just 300m away. It is also very close to the resort of Palma Nova with two more sandy beaches, linked by a promenade, and a host of bars and restaurants.

These apartments are very basic, Balconys large.
Kids Club is very good, but limited to 16 kids.
Evening entertainment is poor, it's more for the adults than the kids, they should spend a little more time with the kids in the night, rather than playing bingo and having a quiz, how boring.
Location is very good, depending where you are situated, lots of apartments where broken into. Stay away from block 7, this is right next to the 5 a side football puitch, and is people play on here at between 3-7am in the morning.
Tropico is stuck in betwenn saraha and Jungla, these are very noisy, lots of swearing.
Sunbeds, if you want a good spot, be prepared to get up between 6:30 and 7:00, if you want a sunbed, be there by 8am or forget it.
Whislt I was there, A 3 year child was found floating in the pool, he was ok.
Prices on the complex is quite dear, I paid

Myself, my partner and our 6yo son have just got back from here on 10th October after getting it as a 7 day late deal from Lunn Poly, we didnt know what to expect as it was the first time abroad for all of us and all i can say is that this place is utterly fantastic!!!!

The entertainment was top notch with Rowly, Paul & Abby from thomsons and especially Chris from fiesta making our holiday loads better.

The appartment we had was great, very clean and well kept, maybe a bit basic but spot on all the same and we were in block 4 on the top floor overlooking the pool, not much noise on a night but great because we got the sunshine on our balcony when we were actually there, and the pool was great too....just nice when the temps were up in the high 20's!!

Tom Browns was ace for our meals, the beach was great and the pirates show was possibly one of the best nights ive ever had in my life....a must for anyone in magaluf.

Only gripes we had waere the hotel barmen being quite ignorant and the animal magic excursion we went on...a waste of money and very boring apart from the dolphin show, if you're going here then dont waste a day on that as we did!!!

Apart from that it was excellent.....so much so we've only been home 36 hours and ive got prices for next year already ;-)

I have just arrived back from here and I would definitely go again. We had our five year old son with us so we were worried it would be too noisy for him. Not at all!! The apartments were in a perfect location. Plenty of restaurants and family bars around. Only about 2 minutes walk from the beach too. Great!! The staff were excellent, the complex was always spotless and the cleaning service and linen change was superb. Anyone who thinks any differently of this place was expecting too much. Would definitely go again

Stayed here August 2002, 2 adults, 2 children (6 & 2 1/2). Location excellent. Close to beach. Plenty to eat Mc Donalds, Burger King, Tom Brown's etc. The best place for breakfast is Europe restaurant, only two doors down the road. We had breakfast there every day. The Pirate Show is a definite must. It was worth the holiday just to see that show, the kids enjoyed it and it was the best evening entertainment we had during the week. The only complaint I have about the hotel is that if you stay in block 2 you can forget having any sleep at all!!!! The Thomson entertainers start at 8pm with shows for the children, which is fine, then at 10pm there are other shows like Grease, Cowboys, a Hypnotist etc. These again were fine, but block 2 is directly above all this, so if you arrive late or early in the morning and need sleep forget it. Once these shows had finished at 12 (which we did go to see) going to bed was a nightmare. You had people sitting outside our room shouting, screaming and laughing until 4 am which was no joke when you have got 2 small kids trying to get to sleep. The reps did have a lot of complaints to deal with from nearly everybody in this block, but they couldn't move you because they were full!!!! Apart from the noise the hotel itself is excellent and we even managed to have sunbeds every day without having to get up early. If we had stayed in any other block it would have been a fantastic place to stay and we wouldn't have had any complaints. Also excellent Spar just across the road which sells everything you need and not too far to walk.

Came to the Tropico on a late deal, arrived with some trepidation in the rain and on the back of stories about sunbed wars and the odd cockroach but was most pleasantly surprised. If you've got kids upto the age of 13 or so this place is fantastic!!! The Thomsons Reps were well clued up and really friendly. The Kids Club Reps were great (Special mention goes to Paul) - couldn't keep the kids away from the Tribe's sessions. The great thing about the Tropico is that not only have you got a dozen Thomson guys there (not forgetting Rowley Poly Shmoley), Fiesta also have their own team of three brilliant entertainers Lorraine, Wayne and Chris who seemed to be around 8 days a week.

Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a brilliant two weeks, Manchester Steve.

This hotel is excellent, We really enjoyed ourselves, the only downside was a few rowdy lads from the hotel in front, but i'd been to Magalluf before, and been in even noisier hotels.
The reps and entertainment were great, although a few nights we ventured to the Magalluf showbaf(next to spar supermarket) it's a bit quiet but the entertainment is excellent.
Spar is a rip-off, it's cheaper to eat out!!!!!!
I tried all the restaurants in the first week, and chose the best for the second week, The EUROPE restaurant next to the bookies was the winner! The food is great, the portions are enough for two and it value for money. The cottage is also good.Just DONT go to Tom Browns, expensive and horrible.

Also, if you are to choose a water park, go for Western Water Park

I just got back from a late deal holiday here.Went for 3 nights. I went with my partner and daughter(2). Weather was very hot but nice. Apartment was very good and clean. The nightlife was great. Had to head for the more family bars though late on in the night as the resort got very busy. I dont think it was as noisy as some people have made it out to be. We managed to have good nights sleep. Staff were very helpful as we had out suitcase padlocked by someone on the way here. The staff got someone to cut it off straight away.Great thing I liked was the internet access in reception. Saves sending postcards. We are taling about going was, excellent holiday all round.

My wife and 2 kids (3 and 5) just got back from this hotel today and we certainly would not
not go again. Not so much because of the reps, hotel or its staff, they were all excellent (brilliant kids reps there) but the venue and guests were auful.
We were at the front of the hotel looking onto the street. Although the hotel is situated at the end of the resort, every night from about 3am until 7am, you would get a stream of jobs walk past the window singing and swearing. You could not sleep.
The guests. Well I would say about 40% of them were riff raff with kids who appeared to have behavioral problems. I don't blame the kids, its the parents who were just idiots. An example would be every night there must have been 2 to 3 kids playing at the sdge of the pool unsupervised. Honestly it was like a lower class Butlins.
I think they should double the price to keep the job element out. Then I might return.
Once again, hats off to all the reps and staff. Top knotch.
