Didn`t enjoy the hotel at all.

We stayed at the Habitat apartments in June this year, we booked in March and were advised not to go fully inclusive as this would add another

The apartments are located on quite a busy road about ten minutes walk to the centre of Porto Pollensa.

The staff are very good and the rooms are cleaned frequently. The appts are very well proportioned although the second bedroom is small and only for sleeping in. the main bedroom is large and looks out over the pool. There is a large balcony also looking out over the pool. There is also a utility area with each apartment handy for storing suitcases etc.

There is a supermarket straight across from the apts which sells everything you need and a larger hyper-market 5 mins walk from the appts.

There are three large pools which are clean and our kids loved the daytime activities around the pool. Evening enetertainment was varied but because it was early season the appts were not full and there was not that large an audience to get involved in the activities with the entertainment team.

All in all I would recommend the apartments and Porto Pollensa itself is a very nice resort.

We were disappointed with the apartments, considering the price we paid. They didn't seem properly cleaned on arrival (eg cobwebs, bits of paper left under the sofa, previous guest's stuff left in drawers). There was no soap, no air conditioning which was surprising for such a hot climate. One bedroom was very small, this was probably for kids but we booked it for an adult. Woman on reception was very helpful but the man on arrival didn't even show us which way our room was, we had to ask a couple of times.

Didn't watch the evening entertainment but we could hear it as it was very loud.

Location - about 15/20 mins walk from the resort, on a main road.

We hired a car, so drove most nights. Very disappointing all in all.

Easy to find as it is located on the main Palma road 1.5 kms from Pueto Pollensa centre, ok if you have a hire car not good if you are walking as half the street lights are off. Very dangerous.

Apartment very small and not cleaned properly sweet wrappers etc. under sofa, maid service generally poor eg.only emptied one waste basket.

Both table lamps had faulty wiring and only worked if the wire was 'jiggled'.

Infested with ants (not biting kind) reception not interested and only gave a can of spray after repeated pestering. Asked for maid to clean up dead ants - never happened.

Asked to change to room with pool view as opposed to street view, only one available smelled very damp as it had not been used for 2 weeks, we declined. They said they would open it up to allow circulation of air-never happened.

No air conditioning, how can this sold as an expensive 3 star holiday without? Most uncomfortable.

Cannot comment on the pool, restaurant or entertainment as we stayed there as little as possible. On site supermarket expensive several alternatives in town.

Overall

If this is the standard for Spain today it is unacceptable and would indicate why it has been overtaken by most other tourist countries. I would expect higher standards than this and would certainly never return. Good Luck.

Just returned from Habitat. I was expecting a lot more given some of the rave reviews I have seen, but to be honest we were disappointed.

The bad bits:

The toddler pool becomes overrun with over enthusiastic teenagers. This is because the large pool is very deep, so really for proper swimming only. This leaves no room for toddlers to play in the small pool
Bar staff are incredibly rude, and the bar is not cheap
Bar food is lousy

Hire of fans is extortionate - it's cheaper to buy one at the hypermarket if you are here for more than 1 week,
SPAR is indeed expensive, but water is cheap there

It's a long walk to the beach or town - especially with young ones - we ended up buying a pushchair for our 3

When we arrived we found the apartments very clean and spacious. We were on ground level and the pool was about 10 ft away which was great for our 2 children (4 and 6). There were plenty of sun loungers and the area never seem crowded. The walk to the beach was about 20 mins and to town about 30/40 mins which we enjoyed and made it part of the holiday. The only draw back would be,if you have young children the big pools were very deep starting from 5ft 8in to about 8ft and alot of families were quite nervous about this and also the apartments were near a main road although this was hidden by a grass verge you need to be careful if you have a wandering child! Personally we had no complaints and would go again.

When my girlfriend and I arrived we were extremely pleased with our apartment. We couldn't believe how much room there was and the facilities within the apartment. We had a good sized kitchen with a dining table. There was a nice seating area which doubled up as 2 extra beds. Our bedroom was nice and spacious with a wardrobe. The bathroom was not the largest of bathrooms, but was fine for what we needed. I think one of the things that made it for us as well was the drying/washing room. This helped greatly. We were situated on the first floor and so we had a balcony which gave us a good view.

We found the staff to be very helpful and the rooms were cleaned every other day. As for entertainment there was something almost every night. There is a band which plays every Sunday (who are brilliant) and various other acts which are on other nights.

The main complex is situated on the outskirts of Poerto Pollenca but has a pub called the Rosa Blanca across the road as well as a Spar supermarket, however this was expensive so you may take a slightly further walk to the larger supermarket for cheaper goodies. The walk into town is about 15 minutes and about the same to the beach.

I would say the only things I didn't like about the hotel were the fact that it was quite close to the main road which meant traffic noise. Also, as the complex is made for families, the noise level went up quite considerably after 8:30 if you have your window open. The rooms do not have air conditioning but this was not so much of a problem as there always seems to be quite a good breeze in Majorca.

When we left the apartments we had a long wait until our coach but Habitat provide a room for half an hour on your last day which you can use to freshen yourself up, which we thought was a brilliant idea. They also have a locked room which you can put your luggage in so that you can enjoy your last day as best you can.

All in all we were extremely pleased with Habitat apartments and would have no worries about choosing them again. Brilliant for all the family.

We have been twice to Habitat and found them to be more than satisfactory on both occasions. The apartments were spacious and clean for what is needed on a holiday in the sun! You don't go on holiday to sit in the apartment all day do you? - Could do with air con though. We personally enjoyed the short walk into town and the beach, although we hired bikes a few times to go further afield. Supermarkets close by were good. Although there are 110 apartments it doesn't seem like it as they are split into three blocks each with its own pool. I can't really comment on the entertainment as we tended to go into town most evenings. Our three children (2 teenagers!) enjoyed it and made plenty of friends around the pool. We would definitely return to Puerto POllensa and HAbitat.

i was shocked when i arrived at the apartments after paying so much. the apartment was very small, the bathroom was titchy you couldn't turn round without bumping into something. But the worst was that there was NO air conditioning i couldn't get to sleep as it was too hot!!
