We stayed in this hotel on half board .The room was just right for 3 people any more an it would of been a tight sqeeze. Yes the hotel over looks a building site but we were told about this before we left. We got there about 12 oclock lunch time but could not get in to our room before 2 oclock (be prepaired to que at 2).If you have children best pack some swimming stuff to keep them busy in your hand luggage .As for the hotel its self its brill rooms very clean and beds very comfy towels changed when you want . we were in a room on the 3rd floor over looking the building site but it never botherd me as far as i know it stops for the summer at the end of june.the food was the best ever and ive stayed in some good hotels in my time .The hotel is about 10mins from the theme park and about 5mins from the resort centre its on a slight hill but its not to bad (if i can get up and down any body can)The staff were pretty friendly and i found the reps were always there

we had a good start to our holiday as we had to wait an hour and half for luggage. the airport is far too small and only has 4 carousels.

we had booked a early flight of 0700 so we wouldnt loose the first day altogether only to find you cant check in till after 2.00pm. ( direct holidays doesnt tell you this). we then had to queue up for another hour at reception. you will then have to pay 60.00 euros if staying in the apartments for breakages.

the rooms are quite a good size and have a good fitted kitchen. the balcony is very big with two doors one from the lounge and one from the bedroom.

there was building work going on, and from what we could see it will be quite a while before it will be finished. we were not told of this before hand. although saying that we were not effected by any noise, although you are quite close.

you are about 10 mins away from the main stretch of shops leading down to the promenade, which was very nice and clean. lots of swings to keep the kidies entertained. the only thing we found being self catering is the lack of eating places. they were very poor to say the least and not very many around. nearly all had the same menu and alot are icecream parlours not eating places. we would not go self catering again for this reason. for being such a bg resort it was very disappointing.

if you are thinking of going to the theme park or water park, i would advise to get tickets first because when we went we waited over an hour from opening and didnt move a foot within that time. also end of june is there bank holiday and was verrrry busy to say the least!!!. when we eventually went another day it was alot better. best time to go is around 4.00 - 5.00pm as most day people have left so not very many people left in the park, and opening hours for night time are from 7.00pm. there are not very many rides for under 9 year olds and are very strict with height restrictions. it is well worth a visit and the shows are really good.

i would go back again to salou, but stay in a different hotel, just because you dont get the theme park tickets included with the package.i would def reccommend the caribe resort hotel it was fantastic!!!!!.

just to top our holiday off the return journey to the airport which only takes 20 mins at the most turned into a 1 hour return journey due to the driver getting lost!!!. also please make sure you have taken your calms tablets before your return journey as the airport is soooo small it is bedlem at check in as the check in gates are facing one way and the passport controls goes straight across, so you get queues forming from all directions!!!!!. we were told that a new airport is due in 4 years time so good luck!!!!

me and my husbund and 4 boys aged 16. 12,11 and 3 visited this hotel for 2 weeks in june.it was a very good hotel, very clean.we stayed half board and we had 2 rooms,1 for my older boys, the rooms were pretty small, although me and hubby spent a lot of time on balcony when we were in room so it wasnt to bad,we were oppposite the 2nd pool, and we could see building work from our balcony, although it didnt bother us at all, there was no noise at all the 2 weeks we were there.

as for the restrant it was lovely and you had loads of selection, they are very strict on men clothes no sleeveless tshirts or shorts for breafast or dinner, they do allow 3 quater lengths. the actual hotel was great, staff was real friendly the only thing i could moan about was the entertment, they had things like darts, artchery in day for an hour in morning, kids disco was 9 till about half past then 10..11 they had a show which was really good..but way brochure said they would so much for kids to do, i thought there would be a lot of entertment for kids in day, there is a childrens club but apart from that they isnt alot else for kids, but it is a very childrens friendly hotel.

but watch out if you want a sunbed by the pool get down by doors before 9am when the rush starts, we used to see people running to the beds in the 2nd pool putting towells over 4-5 beds, then what used to annoy us they wouldnt go back out to sunbeds until 1pm..it does say in signs that you mustnt reseve them.all in all it was a brill holiday

We had a fab time, the hotel was as clean as a new pin. The self catering apartment was a great size for the two in my party and there was a mircowave with grill in the kitchen.

The location of the hotel is next to a busy road and on one side there is a busy Repsol garage and a coach park there is also a building site, however, we heard little noise from the builders. Direct Holidays did tell us of this.

The only complaint we had was that the floors of the apartments are tiled and the table and chairs have metal legs, so whenever anyone next door or upstairs moved these items it could be heard it was anoying.

Going Places did NOT tell us about the building work going on opposite the hotel, we were in full view of the site from our balcony, and the machinery was NOISY! There are two big cranes and several diggers, the trucks which come to pick up the rubble from the site made from the machines, which also start banging at 7am and stop at 7pm, go up and down past the hotel at the front and the back all day long.

The staff are very friendy and helpful, and the food is OK.

We found the hotel room to be amply big enough we did not have to crawl over beds. The hotel was wonderfully clean and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The towels were changed regually and if you wanted more you can ask the maids come in everyday and the rooms are left spotless.
The food was superb there is so much choice we couldn't decide what to eat. There is enough choice for fussy people too. The chef is lovely and makes lovely omlettes in the morning.
We were just round the corner from the building site but it didn't cause us any problems it was quite interesting watching their progress as the days went on.
We enjoyed the daytime activities and the children loved the pool at the side as they could have their rings in there. The hotel is well situated for the Universal park and the beach.
We will definately come back to this hotel.

Mytravel from Birmingham, flights on time. Got the right flight times so no waiting for room on arrival and time to have a breakfast before going home.

Food, good choice, well presented, could always find something to eat, but I am not a fussy eater. Usual buffet style, some good deserts. Got a good deal so my expectations were I was going to eat out, didnt need to but plenty of places I would have like to have tried.

Regulations did not bother me as they are only trying to keep up a good standard. Was a clean hotel. Were the odd sunbeds in May. However the excellent sandy beach is 10-15 mins walk away.

Entertainment, lts ongoing during the day and night, darts, table tennis, always good for a laugh if with a crwod that is up for it, they tried hard to get people to particpate and enjoy.

Didnt get to do any excursions, wanted to go to Barcelona, but the weather was too good to leave the pool.

Location, tranfers quicker by taxi about 15 mins. Lots of bars within walking diatnce or short taxi ride, prices same as most other resorts as I think now the euro is here drinks cost the same as going out in the UK. Nice resort but I hear it is getting popular and maybe too busy in the peak of summer, only 2 hrs from home.

Been to Salou before, and would be happy to go again and stop at this hotel, however there was a Whisper that Airtours were no longer going to use it and First Choice would be operator you had to book through.

We were sold this room by the travel agent as suitbale for four people. It definately was not! It was a two person hotel room with a sofa bed and a camp bed squeezed in. This was confirmed by the fact that there were only two chairs on the balcony. There was no room to walk about and you had to crawl over the beds.

The food was poor and definatley not to our taste although others in the hotel found it satisfactory.

The lobby, reception and bar areas were immaculate and the staff generaly polite and friendly.

Midweek entertainment was rubbish but weekends improved with some good "tribute" bands.
