We stayed at the Imperial Boathouse for three weeks and it was the most enjoyable relaxing holiday ever. I really did not want to leave. Lovely rooms, not really worth paying extra for boathouse ( a bit dark) as the premier room are great. The gardens and location are truly beautiful and although the hotel is a taxi ride from Chaweng, it is just perfect as you would not want to be in such a hectic tourist area.

The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, food in the hotel very good and lots of very cheap great restaurants nearby on the beach etc. Posh places to eat are in Chaweng, Bophut and other nearby towns. (No need to dress up!)

Loved it so much we are going back soon for two weeks soon - can't wait

The Imperial Boathouse was superb. The rooms are spacious and set in beautiful surroundings.

Breakfast was excellent as was the food on the Italian themed evening we went to.

The location of the hotel is perfect - the pools are very attractive and the beach is a few steps away. Attention to detail was impressive and the hotel staff were polite, helpful and pleasant at all times.

Would definitely go back.

We stayed in this hotel for 11 nights in a beautiful premier room on 2nd floor. We were supplied daily with fruit, water, toiletries [toothbrushes & paste, razor kit and cream, body lotion, shower/bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, detergent, disposable bag, sewing kit, emery board.] Also had fridge and mini bar with the usual coffee/tea etc. Free safe and air con. Really spacious rooms with large marbled bathroom [massive bath and separate shower cubicle] Air conditioned private balcony overlooking pools, gardens and pagodas.

The breakfast was not to be missed [7-10.30 am] EVERYTHING. We also went to one of their themed nights- don't miss out on this, if we'd known what the food was like we'd have gone to one sooner - superb. The poolside bar was also very friendly, the staff can't do enough for you.

This hotel has 2 pools but is also on the beach which was an added bonus for us. The brochures don't do it justice.

It is about 15 mins from Chaweng on Choeng Mon beach which is quieter but less frenetic. Loads of beach shacks on the beach for lunch and dinner, great food, great prices, dining under the stars on the beach and still red hot.

Idyllic - can't wait to go back.

We stayed in one of the converted Rice barges, which were absolutely wonderful. The hotel complex and gardens are beautifully maintained and the whole holiday was a great experience. We were only going to stay in the boathouse for 1 week, but loved it so much we decided to stay for another!! The staff were brilliant and on my birthday I returned from the beach to find a Birthday cake in the lounge with "happy Birthday Mr Kendall" written on the cake.... nice touch! Lovely hotel, lovely staff, lovely place.

We stayed in the Rice Barges, a wonderful experience but next time we would stay in the pool-view suites.
The Rice Barges are a unique accomodation but we found the bedroom on the lower floor very dark all the time and the tv/radio is upstairs so if you like to lounge in bed watching tv, you can't.
The staff / cleanliness were excellent as was the gardens & restaurants. For meals other than breakfast there are lots of beach cafe's & restaurants at half the hotel price. All in all a very worthwhile hotel. The airport has to be seen to be believed, its like a fairytale airport, thatched roofs - no walls - no obvious immigration or security proceedures.
